Acceptable Use Policy
Effective February 24, 2025
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of sparQ software and related services provided by remarQable LLC.
1. Permitted Use
sparQ is licensed under the sparQ Business License 1.1 (SBL 1.1). You may:
- Install and run sparQ for your own business or personal use
- Modify the source code for your own internal purposes
- Redistribute unmodified copies of sparQ with the complete SBL 1.1 license included
2. Prohibited Use
You may NOT:
Hosting and Service Restrictions
- Offer sparQ or any derivative as a hosted, managed, or cloud service to third parties
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to sparQ as part of a service bureau, application service provider, or similar offering
- White-label sparQ to provide a competing platform or service
Harmful Activity
- Use sparQ to store, transmit, or process illegal content
- Use sparQ to send spam, phishing, or unsolicited communications
- Use sparQ to violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
- Use sparQ to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
Trademark and Branding
- Use the sparQ or sparQOne names, logos, or trademarks to imply endorsement by or affiliation with remarQable LLC
- Modify sparQ branding in a way that creates confusion about the origin of the software
- Register or use domain names that incorporate sparQ or sparQOne trademarks
Technical Abuse
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any compiled components of sparQ, except to the extent permitted by applicable law
- Remove, alter, or obscure any license notices, copyright notices, or attribution in the source code or documentation
- Circumvent any technical measures designed to enforce the SBL 1.1 license terms
3. Beta Program Conduct
Participants in the sparQ Beta Program are additionally expected to:
- Provide constructive feedback through designated channels
- Report security vulnerabilities responsibly and privately to info@remarqable.io
- Not publicly disclose security vulnerabilities before they have been addressed
- Not use beta access to develop competing products or services
4. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Revocation of beta access
- Termination of your license to use sparQ
- Legal action to protect remarQable LLC's intellectual property and rights
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to info@remarqable.io.
